Position Summary:

As our Soft Trim Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of transforming design concepts into high-quality, precision-crafted upholstery components for our marine products. This role is a unique blend of digital design and hands-on prototyping, where your leadership will drive the creation of cutting-edge soft trim solutions. From CAD pattern development to guiding new product launches, you'll play a critical role in shaping the look, feel, and functionality of our boats—ensuring every detail meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the creation and digitization of upholstery patterns using Gerber/Accumark PDS.
• Oversee nesting and optimization of cut programs to maximize material yield.
• Lead the fabrication and testing of vinyl patterns, skins, and upholstered components.
• Ensure accuracy in measuring, cutting, sewing, and upholstering materials.
• Review and approve technical drawings, sew sheets, and foam kit documentation.
• Operate Gerber cutter machine and other production tools.
• Maintain and update CAD program files for revisions and model year changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pattern or program errors.
• Guide and support manufacturing staff during new product launches.
• Document build processes and ensure quality standards are met.

• Syteline ERP
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Upholstery Tools (rulers, scissors, foam knives, sewing machines, staple guns, electric saws)

Qualifications:

Required:

• Strong spatial visualization and ability to interpret 3D and technical drawings.
• Experience in sewing, upholstering, and pattern creation.
• Precision in measuring and cutting materials.
• Hands-on experience with air tools and electric saws.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a production or engineering setting.
• Experience using Gerber PDS or similar CAD systems.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of pattern making experience.
• 5+ years of soft trim upholstery experience.
• Familiarity with soft trim upholstery processes.
